Vungle, Kamcord Team Up to Launch User-Generated Mobile Video Ads
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading in-app video advertising platform Vungle and mobile gaming video-sharing platform Kamcord today announced an Alpha test of a new product that creates 15-second video ads from Kamcord's user-generated gameplay videos and distributes them across the Vungle network.
Game developer Mobjoy, a participant in the Alpha, said that they expect the new product to generate an exceptional level of installs and high-value users. "This really breaks new ground in the mobile video space," said Fabio Massuda, CEO of Mobjoy. "We expect it to convert really highly because users love watching gameplay videos."
Users will be able to see the new ads in popular mobile games such as Nimble Quest from NimbleBit.
Vungle and Kamcord both recently announced funding rounds and are focused on creating innovative new technology and more effective ad formats. "We absolutely feel that the success of a mobile ad campaign hinges on the user experience and thoughtful placement of the ad within an app," said Vungle CEO Zain Jaffer. "The partnership between Vungle and Kamcord is a great way for gaming advertisers to use high-quality video content, in the perfect context, without any additional creative costs."
"We know users love to watch gameplay videos, so we figured what better way to promote a game than to show off an awesome video of a user playing it," said Kamcord CEO Matt Zitzmann.
The Alpha is currently closed, but advertisers who are interested in participating in the Beta can visit www.vunglelabs.com/kamcord and sign up to be notified as slots become available.
