For 2013, filers are required to send W2 statements to employees by Friday January 31, 2014. W-2 and W-3 reporting with the SSA is due on or before Friday Feb 28, 2014 for filers using paper forms and Monday March 31, 2014 for filers using electronic W2 processing. Form W-2 is not required when filing electronically. Tax payers are mandated to file electronically with the federal government if they have more than 250 tax forms.
