Wall Street Vet Moves to Two-N to Focus on Monetizing Financial Data
NEW YORK, May 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Two-N Inc., an award winning Digital Data Visualization studio in Manhattan announced today that John Halloran has joined the firm. He will focus on building Two-N's practice with financial technology firms; unlocking the value of financial data with cutting edge visualization technology and development techniques.
Hermann Zschiegner, founder of Two-N commented: "Over the past few years, many Wall Street firms have focused on internal restructuring and adapting to the new regulatory environment. In the meantime, technology has evolved to create new possibilities for visualizing huge volumes of data; unlocking value in the process. Combining Two-N's visualization skills and portfolio with John's knowledge of the financial sector positions us to be a key partner with Wall Street."
Halloran added: "After leaving Wall Street a few years ago, I built a couple of startups. Going from working with a large corporate budget to paying for projects out of my own pocket taught me valuable discipline. And working in the NYC tech community exposed me to the value and proper usage of open tools and frameworks.
"When you apply modern data visualization tools, like d3 and HTML 5, to the data accumulated by financial firms, you have the potential to create new lines of business and radically transform existing ones. The Two-N team have what we need to deliver on that promise, and I'm looking forward to sharing our capabilities with the FinTech community."
Halloran is a longtime veteran of Wall Street, as well as a serial entrepreneur. After working in financial technology for over 15 years; as a technology executive for electronic broker dealer Liquidnet, as well as buy-side vendor The MacGregor Group (later acquired by Investment Technology Group), he founded startups in education technology and in FinTech.
