A new survey by Jackson-Triggs reports 75% of Canadians spend less time with friends during the winter season - can you say winter blues?
TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - From office parties to family dinners and festive cocktail receptions; the winter months are packed full of traditional reasons to raise a glass of bubbly. This year, Jackson-Triggs wants you to take a step back and find everyday moments to toast the season with friends.
To support their quest, Jackson-Triggs conducted a national survey to find out how much time Canadians (men and women between the ages of 18 and 55) spend with friends during the holidays. The results revealed that 90% of Canadians feel spending quality time with friends is an important factor in general happiness. However, 75% reported that spending time with friends is more difficult in the winter when compared with the summer months.

About The Survey
From October 5th to October 6th 2012 an online survey was conducted among 1,005 randomly selected Canadian adults who are Angus Reid Forum panelists. The margin of error—which measures sampling variability—is +/- 3.1%, 19 times out of 20. The results have been statistically weighted according to the most current education, age, gender and region Census data to ensure a sample representative of the entire adult population of Canada. Discrepancies in or between totals are due to rounding.
