Online Alternative Learning Experience public school accepting enrollments in grades K-12
TACOMA, Wash., March 23, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Washington Virtual Academy (WAVA), a fully accredited, online public school, welcomes students and families to apply for enrollment for the 2016-17 school year, which starts on September 7, 2016. As a public school program of Omak School District, WAVA is tuition-free. The school utilizes K12 Inc.'s award winning online curriculum and learning platforms while focusing on regular interactions between students, parents, and certified Washington-state teachers, all in pursuit of maximizing student growth and academic achievement. WAVA is open to full-time and part-time Washington students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade.
WAVA provides a rigorous and engaging curriculum including courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music. WAVA High School enables students to earn their Washington HS diploma and find their own path to post-high school success - whether in two or four year colleges, technical colleges or in the workforce. High School courses are offered at multiple levels, including honors and some advanced placement. Students can take up to four years of a world language and are able to choose from a wide variety of career and technical electives. WAVA also prides itself on providing a positive student culture through activities such as recognition assemblies, clubs, outings and student leadership opportunities.

This includes all levels of students - from advanced, to "on track" to those that may be struggling.
