Watson's To Unveil Merino Wool Base Layer Line At Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2014

MONTREAL, Jan. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Watson's^®, a company best known for its thermal underwear and cold weather base layers, today announces the launch of its first Merino Wool base layer line at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2014, a top outdoor industry trade show taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah, January 22-25, 2014.

The 100% Merino Wool base layer line is lightweight and constructed of superfine 18.5-inch microns. The tops and bottoms for men, women and children provide a 'no-itch' comfort. The fabric is breathable and helps maintain the balance of moisture by quickly absorbing sweat and evaporating it into the air, keeping the material odor-resistant. With an ability to draw moisture away from the body, the Merino Wool line from Watson's keeps the body dry and warm in cool environments.

The Merino line will be available at a variety of retailers, starting September 2014. The suggested retail price of each top and bottom will be $55 for adults and $35 for children.

Performance
Made of 85% micro polyester and 15% spandex, Watson's mid-weight Performance base layers have a four-way stretch for a comfortable fit. The brushed fabric interior helps maintain a fluid fit and provides an extra soft "cotton-like" feel on the skin. The Performance collection wicks away moisture, keeping wearers warm and dry. An antimicrobial treatment controls the growth of bacteria keeping the garment free of odor.

Double Layer
Watson's Double Layer is designed for exceptional warmth during outdoor activities. A soft inner layer and a durable outer layer work together, trapping air to form a thermal barrier against harsh conditions.

Microfleece
Watson's heavy-weight base layer, the Microfleece, works by wicking moisture away from the skin, maintaining warmth and dryness. This 100% polyester base layer doesn't pill, keeping its good looks and performance in tact wash after wash.

Watson's will be at booth #40151 at the Salt Palace Convention Center at Outdoor Retailer. The company will also be attending the SIA Snow Show, booth #837, in Denver Colorado at the Colorado Convention Center, January 30-February 2.
