Watson's To Unveil Unique Core 29 Line Of Copper Undergarments At Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2014
The Company Will Launch Much-Anticipated Line of Merino Wool Base Layers this Fall
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Watson's®, a company known for its thermal bodywear and cold weather base layers, today announces the launch of its new Core 29 line of copper-based bodywear at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2014, a top outdoor industry trade show taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah, August 6-9, 2014. The company will also showcase a new line of Merino Wool base layers – ahead of its launch in retail stores this fall.
Core 29 offers breakthrough technology by cross-linking the copper element into the fibers of their athletic wear and undergarments, permanently affixing natural healing, anti-odor and anti-bacterial properties. Used in the medical and military fields, the copper technology is non-toxic and may promote health and wellness.
"At Watson's, we are devoted to making comfort, performance and functionality accessible to those who lead an active lifestyle," said Dan Khoury, vice president of sales and marketing at Watson's. "Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is the ideal venue to unveil our new products to those in the industry as well as introduce our latest innovations to a diverse selection of outdoor enthusiasts."
The average retail price for Core 29 products ranges from $25 to $30. The Core 29 line will be available at a variety of retail stores, in spring 2015.
Watson's will also showcase a new base layer line at Outdoor Retailer, just in time for the winter season. Their 100% Merino Wool base layer tops and bottoms for men, women, and children are lightweight and made of superfine 18.5 micron wool fibers – for an unparalleled softness against the skin. The fabric is breathable and helps minimize moisture by quickly absorbing sweat and evaporating it into the air, keeping the material odor-resistant. With an ability to draw moisture away from the body, the Merino Wool line keeps the wearer dry and warm. The suggested retail price is $55 for adults and $35 for children, and will be available, starting September 2014.
In addition to the Core 29 and Merino Wool collections, Watson's will also feature an extensive line of kids' sport bodywear for spring/summer 2014. The line offers a selection of tees, shorts, and tanks in bright colors and patterns – including compression shorts made with 90% nylon/ 10% spandex for flexibility and comfort. The line is designed to wick moisture away from the skin in order to keep kids dry during physical activity. The suggested retail price ranges from $11 to $14.
