Wavien Introduces the "RLT™ SuperBright" Digital Display Technology for Outdoor Signage and Light Field Displays at the InfoComm Tradeshow
VALENCIA, Calif., June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Wavien, Inc. is introducing the RLT™ SuperBright digital display technology for outdoor signage at the InfoComm tradeshow (booth 4485) in Orlando, Florida, June 17 -19. Wavien has combined 72 bright LEDs with the patented RLT recycling light technology to produce a digital display with eye-popping brightness of over 40,000 nits. This new platform, which uses low cost and high efficiency LEDs, is an alternative to tradition outdoor signage with the added advantage of having superior brightness. This high brightness advantage will allow outstanding brightness for light field displays as well.

"Wavien's RLT technology recycles high angle emissions from the LED into low angle emissions to be collected by the output lens system. This recycling mechanism increases the light output of the system at a small angle, and increases the brightness of the system. The net result is a narrower beam with much higher brightness at the target," stated Dr. Kenneth Li, President and CEO of Wavien, Inc. This brightness increase is provided by adding a simple low-cost spherical reflector with an aperture to standard LED packages.
