NILES, Ill., Sept. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Waxberg's Walk Shoppe, a third-generation family shoe store, is excited to approach 100 years in business.

Waxberg's Walk Shoppe has been in business since 1919, starting with Isaac Waxberg (the current owner's grandfather), who had his roots as a cobbler in Germany before moving to Chicago and opening what has now become Waxberg's Walk Shoppe.

Typically, department stores and other shoe stores do not take the time to learn about their customer's specific needs when it comes to their shoes. "We are proud to be one of the few stores left that takes the time to sit and fit," said Ron Waxberg, Owner at Waxberg's Walk Shoppe. At Waxberg's, they properly measure both feet sitting and standing. They also assess the foot shape and arch type. "This is so that we can make the best recommendations based on our conclusions."
