Waypoint Outcomes CEO to Speak at Annual Educause Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Waypoint Outcomes Chief Executive Officer Andrew J. McCann will speak at the ninth annual Educause Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference being held Jan. 13-15 in Baltimore, Md.

Educause is a non-profit association whose mission is to advance higher education by promoting the intelligent use of information technology. The current membership includes more than 2,200 colleges, universities and educational organizations, with more than 17,000 active members.

McCann and co-speaker Dr. Craig Bach, associate vice provost for curriculum and assessment for Drexel University, will present a case history on how a Drexel faculty member successfully addressed issues of online student communication and assessment. They will demonstrate how rubric and self-assessment technologies resulted in improved student learning data; better, more efficient and higher quality feedback to students; and development of course dashboards.

McCann, an expert in rubric and assessment design who has worked with institutions ranging from grade school through graduate school, founded Waypoint Outcomes in 2003 to commercialize software he developed to improve feedback to learners while developing data on their achievement.
