Waypoint Outcomes CEO to Speak at Salt Learning Technologies Conference March 3-5 in Orlando, Fla.
PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Waypoint Outcomes Chief Executive Officer Andrew J. McCann will speak at the Society for Applied Learning Technology Conference being held March 3-5 in Orlando, Fla.
The New Learning Techniques Conference, Knowledge Management Track, includes best practices for successfully implementing learning management systems as well as factors in selecting technology.
McCann will present Using Feedback and Self-Assessment to Power Learning. "Creating detailed, useful feedback is time consuming and challenging, regardless of whether it's in an educational setting or in the workplace," McCann said. He will present results from academic and corporate research on the question of feedback and will engage a discussion on approaches to structure and quantify the feedback process.
McCann, an expert in rubric and assessment design, founded Waypoint Outcomes in 2003 to commercialize software he developed to improve feedback to learners while developing data on their achievement.
More than 35 institutions, including schools in the United States, Canada and Europe, use Waypoint Outcomes. The Web-based technology is used to create exceptional feedback for tens of thousands of students, to manage course evaluations, and to generate rich data on learning outcomes.
