Webcor Promotes Tony Rango to Chief Operations Officer
24-Year Construction Veteran to Lead Major Contractor's Operations
SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Webcor Builders (Webcor), one of the largest general contractors in California has announced the promotion of Tony Rango from Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Operations Officer (COO). Rango takes over a construction operation with over $1 billion in revenue in 2014 and over $3 billion in the pipeline.
Rango began his construction career in 1991 shortly after graduating from California State University, Chico with a BS degree in Construction Management. He has been with Webcor since 1998 and has risen through the ranks since then, starting as a Project Manager. He was appointed Senior Vice President of Webcor's Concrete division in 2005, and in 2012, he transitioned into leading Webcor's Northern California Operations before the promotion to COO at the end of 2014.

In addition, his responsibilities extend to recruitment, training, quality control, and strategic planning.
