DES MOINES, Iowa and TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) announced today that it has given a total of $7,500 in micro-grants to five community-based organizations across the state of Iowa. These micro-grants went to nonprofit and 501(c)(3) organizations that offer foster care, homelessness and transportation services for Iowans in need.

The grant will help to provide transportation for low-income clients attending the agency's mental health and financial counseling services. |
MICAH House, Inc. Council Bluffs, Iowa |
The grant will help to provide a safe and nurturing environment with support services for families and individuals experiencing the crisis of homelessness. |
Pregnancy Center of Southwest Iowa Red Oak, Iowa |
The grant will help to provide counseling, education and practical assistance for women in need. |
