WellCare Reminds South Carolina Medicaid Members to Renew Their Eligibility
More than 1 in 4 South Carolinians are Enrolled in Medicaid, Including 720,000 Children
COLUMBIA, S.C. and TAMPA, Fla., May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Recognizing that health insurance can make a striking difference in the quality of life for children and their families, WellCare of South Carolina, a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), is reminding South Carolina Medicaid recipients that they are required to renew their Medicaid eligibility for themselves and their children every year.
Those who participate in Healthy Connections, South Carolina's Medicaid program, will receive a mailing with an application for Medicaid from Healthy Connections 60 days prior to the end of their annual eligibility and their children's eligibility. The application must be completed and returned to Healthy Connections before the eligibility date or risk losing Medicaid coverage.
