WellCare Sponsors Prom for Seniors in Greenville, South Carolina to Support Improved Health and Quality of Life
COLUMBIA, S.C. and TAMPA, Fla., May 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As you get older and retire or move to a new community, you may not have as many opportunities to socialize as you had when you were younger. With research pointing to the health benefits of socialization, WellCare of South Carolina, a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), will be the presenting sponsor of the city of Greenville Parks and Recreation's Senior Prom.
The annual event for adults ages 50 and older is one way the city brings Greenville seniors diverse and dynamic recreational opportunities. The prom will be held on Friday, May 20, from
6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the TD Convention Center in Greenville.
The night out will feature elegant attire and delicious food, and attendees can get their hearts racing with an evening of dancing, which has proven health benefits. Additionally, a report published in The New England Journal of Medicine found that dancing is associated with a lower risk of dementia.
