WellCare Sponsors the 2016 Hip-Hop Family Day to Support Community-based Organizations in Columbia, South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. and TAMPA, Fla., March 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCare of South Carolina, a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), is a presenting sponsor of the fourth annual Hip-Hop Family Day to be held April 9, 2016 in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. As part of its participation and sponsorship, WellCare will provide information on its Medicaid and Medicare benefits, and help South Carolina Healthy Connections members with the recertification of their Medicaid health care coverage.
Hip-Hop Family Day, one of Columbia's largest music events, is a free annual family festival organized by Love, Peace & Hip-Hop. In its fourth year, Love, Peace & Hip-Hop's mission is to provide support, through charity and awareness, to other nonprofit organizations that offer direct services such education, employment and economic development to the community.
