WellCare Sponsors the 2017 World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day in Columbia, South Carolina
Dawn Staley and INNERSOLE to Provide New Athletic Shoes to Children
COLUMBIA, S.C. and TAMPA, Fla., March 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCare of South Carolina, a subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG), will serve as a presenting sponsor of World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day on April 8, 2017 in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. The annual festival attracts more than 10,000 people and will be headlined by hip-hop artists Kid 'n Play.
Established in 2013, World Famous Hip-Hop Family Day, one of Columbia's largest music events, is a free annual family festival organized by Love, Peace & Hip-Hop, which provides support, through charity and awareness to nonprofit organizations that offer education, employment and economic development services to the community. This year, Love, Peace & Hip-Hop will donate all soft drink and water proceeds to two area nonprofit organizations.

In addition, world-renowned basketball player/coach and WellCare of South Carolina spokeswoman Dawn Staley and her organization INNERSOLE, will provide athletic shoes to children to help build their confidence and encourage them to participate in activities that promote good health.
