DES MOINES, Iowa and TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) announced today that it is creating 250 full-time positions and opening nine offices across the state of Iowa to support the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care for WellCare members who participate in Iowa's Medicaid Managed Care program, IA Health Link, the Iowa Health and Wellness Plan, and the Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa (hawk-i) programs.
The new positions feature competitive wages and benefits. Jobs include clinical positions, such as case managers and behavioral health professionals, as well as non-clinical positions, including member and provider outreach, network development, finance and operations professionals. In addition, approximately 150 positions in Tampa, Florida, will support the coordination of care for WellCare of Iowa Inc. members.

WellCare Welcome Rooms, neighborhood health care information and education centers that offer one-on-one assistance to individuals eligible for Medicaid, will be located in Davenport, Des Moines, Dubuque, Mason City, Ottumwa and Sioux City.
