WELT Group Present at Market Launch of iPad
New "Kiosk App" Available From 3 April 2010 / Digital Editions of WELT, WELT KOMPAKT and WELT am SONNTAG as Monthly Subscription Model
BERLIN, March 31, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The WELT Group is represented with its own application in the App Store for the market launch of the iPad in the United States on 3 April 2010. Users are able to read the current issues of WELT, WELT KOMPAKT and WELT am SONNTAG on Apple's new tablet with the "Kiosk App". The display of the content has been further improved for the iPad and a simple, user-friendly navigation through the individual pages was designed. The digital editions of the WELT brands are in future available with the "Kiosk App" as a monthly subscription from EUR 7.99.

The introduction of services for the iPad is another step for the WELT Group within the scope of the initiative launched by Axel Springer to introduce chargeable premium services. Apps for the iPhone from WELT and BILD have been available since the end of 2009, and have already been purchased and downloaded more than 140,000 times.
