WesBanco Successfully Implements Orbograph's Automation Services™ as Part of Efficiency Strategy

BILLERICA, Mass., Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Orbograph Ltd., a leading developer of recognition solutions for the U.S. check processing market, announced today that WesBanco has successfully implemented its Automation Services solution as part of a recognition efficiency strategy. Selected as WesBanco's recognition platform of choice, Automation Services is running in conjunction with Open Solutions' ISCheck™ check image system and ISBranch™ branch image capture.

Orbograph's patented Automation Services solution is the industry's only check recognition service for financial institutions with in-house check processing systems. Automation Services targets straight-through-processing (STP) levels of recognition efficiency by delivering performance results of 98% read rates with near 99% accuracy. Designed as a migration strategy for CAR/LAR customers, Automation Services utilizes a Software as a Service (SaaS) business model which will enable WesBanco to reduce costs in direct proportion to volume decline. The service virtually eliminates data entry and streamlines balancing to provide cost savings of up to 40% in back counter and back office (centralized) processing workflows.

WesBanco operates in a blended check processing operation, capturing check images at 93 unique capture sites, comprised of both data center and branch locations.  Additionally, The Bank routes all remote deposit capture (RDC) volume through Automation Services.
