West Hills Day Camp to Be the New Home of the Prestigious West Hills Montessori School Beginning This Fall

HUNTINGTON, N.Y., Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- West Hills Day Camp, which has provided Long Islanders with incomparable summer experiences for 55 years, will be the new location of the reputable West Hills Montessori school beginning this fall, it was announced today by Kevin Gersh, Owner.  West Hills Montessori is a one-of-a-kind experience that combines cutting edge learning techniques, state-of-the art equipment and a warm, natural environment complete with a living pond and nature trails for hands-on inquiry based activities and learning.  This exclusive program, for children ages 18 months through 12 years old, extends beyond the typical classroom curriculum to include unique interactive outdoor activities as well.

West Hills Montessori at West Hills offers physical activity centers equipped with climbing wall and ropes course, a botanical science center featuring a live pond, computer lab, fine arts and music education.  In addition to teaching all academic subjects that meet district requirements; children also learn age–appropriate lessons in responsibility, interdependence, community awareness and conflict resolution.  

West Hills Montessori is able to accommodate the needs of today's busy family life.  Before and aftercare is available from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.  Transportation is available to and from school. Enrollment has begun and will continue through September.
