West Palm Beach Plastic Surgeon, Dana M. Goldberg MD, Sets A New Bar In Breast Augmentation Patient Education
JUPITER, Fla., Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Jupiter, Florida based Board Certified Female Plastic Surgeon Dana M. Goldberg MD (Dr. Dana,) has released a new documentary aimed at helping patients gain deeper insight into what they might be expecting with breast augmentation surgery.
Dr. Dana has built one of the fastest growing plastic surgery practices in the country since opening her Jupiter, Florida location in 2010. In her first year there, Dana M. Goldberg MD achieved one of Allergan's (manufacturer of the Natrelle breast implant,) highest partner level distinctions. In 2013, Dr. Goldberg was even honored as a lecturer at the annual American Society of Plastic Surgeons meeting.
Dr. Dana says, "My practice's success is rooted in trying to create the ultimate patient experience, and educating patients is at the core of that model." After attending the ASPS Meeting, Dr. Goldberg realized that was a massive void in the way patients were getting information about surgeries that they had an interest in learning more about. Dr. Goldberg said, "I wanted to create a way for patients to become more engaged in learning about surgery and to experience it as entertainment."
Woman to Woman: A Breast augmentation Story, is the first video Dr. Goldberg plans on releasing as part of her initiative to give patient education a facelift. The film is just under 30 minutes, and it covers just about any question a woman could ever have about what to expect during breast augmentation. The documentary style movie follows a patient through surgery, while covering a host of topics that answer the most commonly asked questions about the procedure. "I think there is a clear need for this type of project. Patient centered videos often lack information, and physician videos often ignore relevance to what the patient actually wants to know. The fact that RealSelf.com is launching RealSelf TV later this month is great evidence of the move in plastic surgery toward multimedia education," said Dr. Dana.
