Westbase Technology a leading distributor of wireless technologies today announced a partnership with Deltenna the manufacturer of the WiBE® (Wireless Broadband Extender) to distribute its products exclusively in the UK and throughout EMEA.

The award winning plug and play WiBE® is a revolutionary 3G router which provides broadband and mobile internet for a multitude of applications and outperforms its competitors, especially where there is weak signal coverage or congested 3G network. The WiBE® achieves its class leading performance by using Deltennas' patented antenna system, comprising of four high gain directional antennae. Unlike its competitors, WiBE® products are able to test the connection speed from all available 3G basestations and select the link based on best data throughput, not necessarily the highest signal strength. Once the best connection is selected the WiBE® products continue scanning to ensure the best possible connection is maintained. WiBE® products enable users to create a secure hotspot with both Wi-Fi and 2 LAN ports as connectivity options.

The WiBE® line up consists of; HS7 (7.2Mbps HSPA), HS21* (21Mbps HSPA+) and the WiBE® Pro* (21Mbps HSPA+) which has been designed with outdoor installation in mind, features include an IP65 enclosure for challenging conditions. N.B the HS21 and WiBE PRO will be commercially available Q2 2012.

WiBE® can be used in various applications, from broadcast to remote CCTV installations. Alongside helping businesses and homes suffering poor broadband speeds, it can also act as a backup to wired infrastructure in mission critical applications.
