Westpak Announces Expanded Mechanical Testing Services to Solar and Renewable Energy Industries

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Westpak announces expanded mechanical testing services including testing used to simulate transportation and wind induced vibration. Vibration, environmental, and mechanical impact tests can be utilized to evaluate both products and packaging to established ASTM and ISTA test protocols for distribution testing. Within the last month Westpak brought into service a Horizontal Impact Test System (HITS) which simulates horizontal shock events frequently encountered in truck and rail shipments.

Leading firms have taken advantage of Westpak's test services during product design verification and R&D efforts, leading to substantial improvements in product reliability, robustness, and lower costs. Westpak's mechanical test capabilities also include custom test development and fixturing used for mechanical and cyclic load testing.
