San Diego, a world class ISO 17025 accredited Product & Package Test Laboratory, recently announced expansion of its vibration testing capabilities to include horizontal vibration. Westpak is dedicated to continually exceeding expectations of what a test lab can do for its customers and their critical projects.
This equipment allows random and sinusoidal vibration in the horizontal axis on operating and non-operating product and package systems. The equipment slip plate measures 48" x 48" inches and has a 1" peak to peak displacement. "By having this equipment, we are able to accommodate a unique, but important, need that many medical device equipment and military companies require," states Aaron Suarez, Production Manager.
With this new capability, our engineers are able to attach accelerometers and other sensors to the equipment under test (EUT). We are then able to measure the response of the EUT to the vibration input using state of the art recording instrumentation. "This enables us to provide the critical information to our clients and assist them in meeting their regulatory requirements," reports Aaron Suarez.
