"With the new addition of Colorado and Idaho, we are excited to begin providing opt-out services to the many officer's and family's that are putting their lives on the line out there," says Joshua McIntire of The Public Safety Assistance Foundation. "We receive numerous requests every week from officers around the country anxious to use our services. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate everyone, as our privacy packages are backed by state legislation. We would be doing those officers a disservice by promising something we couldn't stand behind or deliver."
PSAF's newly updated website went live on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 with a new interface, updated infrastructure, and interactive mapping, which outlines each state that is Law Enforcement Friendly. Thus far, the Law Enforcement Friendly states include:
- California under California Government Code 6254.21,
- Idaho under Senate Bill No. 1378, and
- Colorado under House Bill 09-1316
The Public Safety Assistance Foundation is a fully recognized California Non-Profit 501 (c)(3) Organization, formed for the sole purpose of protecting the interest of Law Enforcement, Public Safety, Elected, and Appointed Officials throughout the nation. With the increasing technological advances and more accessible avenues for cyber criminals, it is becoming easier for law enforcement officers and public officials to be taken advantage of. PSAF's mission is to assist all Law Enforcement Officers and Public Officials in the fastest and most streamlined information opt-out process from public information databases while implementing an automated and advanced information removal system.
