PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Portraits of Professional Caregivers: Their Passion. Their Pain examines how vicarious trauma, also known as secondary traumatic stress or compassion fatigue may affect any individual who provides care to traumatized or suffering people. The impact of secondary traumatic stress is shown through a series of dramatic first person stories that depict both the professionals' struggles and their resilience.
"We are thrilled that we are able to offer individuals an affordable and easy way to watch CAREgivers," said co-producer Rodney Whittenberg of MelodyVision.
"I hope that caregivers of all types will watch the film and realize that secondary trauma is human and real, and that being traumatized by the things you see, hear, and experience at work happens to many professionals," added co-producer Vic Compher. "We just need to step up and encourage employers to put systems in place to help our helpers."
Video on Demand (VOD):
- VOD options will allow individuals to stream the film for 24 hours at a cost of $20.
