HOUSTON, June 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Willbros Group, Inc. (NYSE: WG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Brad MacLean to the position of Chief Talent Officer. Mr. MacLean will become a member of the Willbros Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and will report to Earl Collins, President of Willbros Group effective July 1, 2014. As Chief Talent Officer, Mr. MacLean will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies in support of attracting, developing and retaining the best talent in the industry. In this newly created position, Mr. MacLean will drive internal best practices in areas such as cultural stewardship, recruiting, succession planning, performance management, employee engagement, labor relations and leadership development.

Brad MacLean, currently Senior Vice President of Enterprise Support, joined Willbros in 2008 as Vice President of HSE&S. Since 2008, Mr. MacLean has been instrumental in greatly improving Willbros' safety performance. In 2011, he added several other functions to his oversight including Human Resources, Organizational Development and Training, Procurement, Recruiting and Real Estate & Travel. Mr. MacLean has approximately 25 years of experience in the energy sector with progressively senior positions at companies specializing in electrical transmission & distribution, pipeline construction and natural gas transmission, distribution & storage. His background spans operational, corporate and construction assignments in Canada and the United States. Mr. MacLean has an applied science degree from the University of Cape Breton. He has also had advanced executive-level Human Resource studies at the Kenan-Flager Business School (UNC) and the Anderson Graduate School of Management (UCLA).
