William F. "Chip" Merlin, Jr., Named to the Florida Super Lawyers List

"Chip" Merlin, Jr., has been named to the Florida Super Lawyers list as one of the top attorneys in Florida for 2011. No more than 5% of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers. Mr. Merlin's law practice focuses on insurance claim presentation and benefit recovery, insurance coverage, bad faith and wrongful claims conduct litigation. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, and in addition to his bar certification in Florida, he also is bar certified in Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, the District of Columbia, and California.

A graduate of the University of Florida, School of Law in 1982 where he served as Executive Editor of the Law Review and on the Moot Court, Mr. Merlin became a member of the Florida Bar in 1983. He briefly represented insurance companies in coverage litigation, but since 1985 has dedicated his career to seeking justice for insurance policyholders in claim presentation and disputes with their insurance companies.
