Willie Gary and Team Enter Appearance and File Motion to Set $250 Million Breach of Contract Case for Trial

STUART, Fla., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominent trial attorney Willie Gary announced today that he will spearhead a legal team in a $250 million breach of contract case against the Melbourne Airport Authority, Melbourne, Florida.  The original lawsuit was filed in Brevard County Florida, May 12, 2004 on behalf of Global Technology Center, Inc. (Global). Gary and his law partners CK Hoffler and Manny Socias of the Stuart, Florida-based law firm of Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson and Sperando, P.L., and Robert Parenti who is of counsel to the Firm, have joined forces with Melbourne, Florida-based attorney, Allan P. Whitehead to expose the intentional, deliberate and malicious actions taken by the Melbourne Airport Authority against Global. Gary and team entered a notice of appearance and filed a motion to set the case for trial.

Gary contends that Global was the victim of the flagrant and improper actions by Melbourne Airport Authority when it failed to fulfill a series of lease option commitments and reneged on the agreement to develop the property in and around the Melbourne Airport.  The lawsuit further details the irreparable harm that the Melbourne Airport Authority's bad business practices cost Global.  Some of the allegations outlined in the suit include making false and defamatory statements by representatives of the Melbourne Airport Authority about Global, taking deliberate steps to ensure that Global would not be able to obtain site plan approval, build any of the planned structures or complete its development plan and possibly receive a return upon the substantial investment in the project.

"We will be seeking damages in the amount of a quarter of a billion dollars," said Gary.  "Global trusted the defendant, Melbourne Airport Authority only to have their ideas and dreams stolen.  The defendant is making millions that rightfully belongs to our clients.  Global put together a development package that would have greatly benefitted the Melbourne community by creating jobs and helping expand the local economy.  The defendant did not exercise good faith when they caused over 1200 senior citizens to be unnecessarily displaced from their mobile homes.  The actions of Melbourne Airport Authority put Global out of business and destroyed its ability to reengage in the development of airport property.  Our client exhausted millions of dollars and is seeking justice; the defendant is now implementing my client's development plan and that's not right," continued Gary.
