PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, the premier provider of legal services to technology, life sciences, and growth enterprises worldwide, today announced that it has elected 15 new partners. The promotions will become effective on February 1, 2018.

The 2018 partners-elect are:

Jeffrey Bank. Antitrust. Based in New York, Bank focuses his practice on antitrust litigation and counseling, with a particular emphasis on representing companies in the pharmaceutical industry. As an experienced litigator representing both plaintiffs and defendants, his work has ranged from complex multi-district litigations and global cartel cases to actions against competitors. He has successfully defended clients against class actions and has substantial experience in all phases of litigation, from discovery through appeal. Bank received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2006.

Adam Bloom. Corporate. Based in Palo Alto, Bloom advises clients on general business and corporate law matters. He works with public and private technology companies, as well as investment banks, venture capital firms, and private equity firms. He has substantial experience working on complex transactions and deals involving novel structures. Bloom received his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2005.

Matthew Bresnahan. Patents and Innovation. Based in San Diego and Los Angeles, Bresnahan serves as primary outside intellectual property counsel to more than 50 life sciences companies within the biotechnology, molecular biology, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device industries in Southern California. His practice focuses on all aspects of IP, including strategic patent counseling, patent prosecution, licensing, and litigation. Bresnahan received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2007.

John Brust. Corporate. Based in Seattle, Brust concentrates his practice on corporate and securities law matters for growth companies, venture capital firms, and mature public companies. He has represented company-side and investor-side clients in strategic finance and investment transactions and sophisticated corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, and private equity deals. Brust received his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2005.

Becki DeGraw. Corporate. Based in San Francisco, DeGraw serves as outside general counsel and advises clients at all stages of development on a range of corporate and securities matters. She has extensive experience representing both companies and investors in venture capital financings, and buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions. DeGraw received her J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 2005.

Shannon Delahaye. Corporate. Based in Palo Alto, Delahaye works with companies and underwriters in connection with initial public offerings and other capital markets transactions. She also has considerable experience advising public companies on SEC compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters, and complex securities law issues. Delahaye received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2008.

Wendy Devine. Patent Litigation. Based in San Francisco, Devine focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation, with a concentration in patent litigation and counseling. She counsels and represents clients in matters involving various technologies and processes, including biotechnology, biosimilars, pharmaceuticals, medical methods, trademarks, and trade secrets. She also has substantial experience in Hatch-Waxman patent litigation and related client counseling. Devine received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006.

Brandon Gantus. Employee Benefits and Compensation. Based in San Francisco, Gantus represents companies in compensation and employee benefits matters, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions. He advises clients on the design, drafting, and administration of equity-based compensation programs; employment, consulting, retention, severance, change in control, and deferred compensation arrangements; and the associated tax, accounting, ERISA, and securities law implications. Gantus received an LL.M in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008 and earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2006.

Mark Holloway. Mergers & Acquisitions. Based in Washington, D.C., Holloway counsels public and private technology companies through all stages of growth. In particular, he focuses on strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and venture capital financings, as well as corporate and securities law. He also provides legal counsel to publicly held companies on disclosure matters, SEC compliance, NYSE and Nasdaq listing matters, and other securities law issues. Holloway received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2007.

Jennifer Knapp. Corporate. Based in Palo Alto, Knapp represents public and private life sciences and technology companies, as well as venture capital and other institutional investors. She focuses on representing companies throughout their entire life cycle from formation to exit, and in all manner of strategic and complex transactions, including corporate formation and structuring, venture capital financings, corporate governance, spin-ins and spin-outs, mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, public company disclosure requirements, and SEC compliance matters. She also has significant experience advising investors in venture capital financings and other strategic investments and transactions. Knapp received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2001.

Derek Liu. Mergers & Acquisitions. Based in San Francisco, Liu focuses his practice primarily on the technology and life sciences industries. His transactional experience includes public and private company mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; tender and exchange offers; joint ventures; minority investments; and other strategic corporate transactions, representing both strategic and private equity clients. Liu received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2009.

John McGaraghan. Technology Transactions. Based in Palo Alto, McGaraghan focuses on intellectual property counseling and licensing, and the drafting and negotiation of strategic commercial contracts. He also has experience in assisting companies with mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions. He frequently works with public and private companies in the hardware, semiconductor, software, Internet, media, social networking, and advertising industries. McGaraghan received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008.

Aaron Prince. Energy and Infrastructure Finance. Based in New York, Prince represents lenders, arrangers, sponsors, borrowers, and equity investors in project finance, banking, acquisition finance, project development, project-related structured finance, and general corporate transactions in the energy sector, including renewable energy in the U.S. and internationally. Prince received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2008.

Jason Storck. Employment and Trade Secret Litigation. Based in Austin and Seattle, Storck represents employers in federal and state court litigation and before administrative agencies regarding claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, employee mobility disputes, unfair labor practice charges under the National Labor Relations Act, and all other labor and employment law matters. Storck received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002.

Matthew Wiltermuth. Technology Transactions. Based in Palo Alto, Wiltermuth advises clients in strategic commercial and intellectual property transactions, including collaboration and partnering arrangements, technology licensing and acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, research and development agreements, and manufacturing, supply, and distribution arrangements, primarily in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and life sciences industries. Wiltermuth received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2009.
