NOVATO, Calif., Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Nationally known investment firm, Winans Investments' client base grew by 19% in 2012 due to strong performance results across all categories of assets.

• Growth and Income portfolios have performed well on a nominal and risk-adjusted basis over the time frame reviewed.
• Winans Investments' growth portfolios out-performed their benchmark. This was due partly to timely investing, but was greatly enhanced by raising large amounts of cash in down years to reduce volatility.
• Winans' corporate income portfolios had an average annual yield of 7.8% while maintaining a short average maturity of 3.8 years.
• An unprecedented 36% of Winans' current clients have been with the firm over 10 years and 96% of these portfolios have grown significantly since the 2008-09 bear market and are at record high valuations.
