Wine.com.br is one of the most innovative companies in Brazil
The company ranks 2nd in the e-commerce category, and stands alone in the wine segment on a list of the country's 50 most innovative companies
SAO PAULO, Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wine.com.br, an e-commerce wine operation launched a little over five years ago in Brazil, that has e.Bricks Digital as its partner, holds 7th place among the country's most innovative companies according to a study by DOM Strategy Partners – a consultancy focused on corporate strategy. The company is also ranked 2nd among e-commerce companies and stands alone in the field of wine
The numbers above were the result of a survey conducted with Brazil's 500 biggest companies in different sectors of the economy, which identified the most innovative practices in customer relations. The research is focused on the level of innovation as generated by the organizations, how the public perceived the brands and how the company inserts this concepts in its business practices and models.
The results lead to an exclusive and new ranking -"Brazil's 50 most innovative companies" - which presents evaluations for 14 different segments. Wine.com.br received a score of 9.01 out of 10. According to the company in charge of the survey, the group of highest-scoring companies (the ones with grades above nine) has a planned innovation strategy based on perception and impressive recommendations of its customers. In the top 10 overall list are: O Boticario, NetShoes, Chilii Beans, Dilleto, Nespresso, Albert Einstein, Wine.com.br, Bradesco, Whirlpool and Habib's.
For Rogerio Salume, President and founder of Wine.com.br, "this ranking in the survey is a recognition of the effort of everyone who works with us and shares our goal of getting rid of complications and democratizing wine consummation in our country."
The survey was based on the innovation premises presented in the IAM AIR method, or 'Adjustment, Increase, Disruption' (AIR – Adequacao, Incremento, Ruptura in portuguese). This method, developed by the consultancy, combines measurement of value and potential results of innovations in three dimensions, as classified by Clayton Christensen: Adjustment – companies seek to adapt to market standards simply in order not to be left behind; Increase – they create a competitive advantage, aiming at new niches that have not been developed very much and Disruption – when a company that is new in the market, instead of trying to beat its competitors, changes the rules of competition in a given sector, opening a new path.
