Winner of Free Rent at University Gateway Shocks Parents

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier USC university housing apartments, University Gateway, gave away an entire free year of housing to one lucky USC student.  When the USC Sophomore, Pamela Ho, told her parents, they didn't believe it.

"When I told my dad over the phone that I had won free housing at University Gateway for my entire junior year of college, he thought I was playing a joke on him," Ho said.  "I am very excited to receive this wonderful gift. University Gateway was my top choice for housing next year."

The free rent giveaway kicked off in September when the Welcome Center opened.  Up until the last minute of February 4th students were rushing to enter, over 500 USC students entered for the big prize.

The Welcome Center was filled with excitement that Thursday night, over 130 students showed up to the festivities. The office was decked out in a Candyland theme complete with a giant pixie stix and gummy candies.

"Our focus is our commitment to our residents and we are thrilled to give the gift of one free year at University Gateway to one student," said Jennifer Casey, Regional Manager at Campus Advantage.  "There are many more exciting giveaways and events to come, so keep an eye on University Gateway!"

University Gateway is offering a "Look and Lease" promotion from this month that waives the $500 deposit.

The Welcome Center is excited to offer extended office hours and "Late at the Gate" nights once a week.  The office is open Monday through Friday 9am-8pm, Saturdays 10am-6pm and Sundays 10am-5pm.
