Winners Announced at Inaugural Aesthetic Awards in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, June 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Saturday night, amidst the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas' ARIA Resort & Casino, a group of esteemed aesthetic physicians were awarded their field's highest honor at the inaugural Aesthetic Awards. Hosted by Dr. Andrew Ordon of CBS's The Doctors, the aesthetic industry celebrated the physicians who performed the best patient enhancement procedures over the past year. Dr. Peter Newen of Image Plastic Surgery in Huntington Beach, Calif. took home the evening's most coveted prize, Best Overall Patient Enhancement, as well as an individual award for Best Overall Facial Make-Over (combination of procedures).

Aesthetic physicians were invited to submit their best work via an online application process and their peers in the field voted on the winners.

• Best Non-Surgical Facial Rejuvenation Enhancement: Dr. Kenneth Oleszek, La Fontaine Aesthetics (Denver, Colo.)
• Best Surgical Body Shaping Enhancement: Dr. Nedra Dodds, Opulence Aesthetic Medicine (Kennesaw, Ga.)
• Best Non-Invasive Body Shaping Enhancement: Dr. Robert Troell, Beauty by Design (Las Vegas)
• Best Overall Facial Make-Over (combination of procedures): Dr. Peter Newen, Image Plastic Surgery (Huntington Beach, Calif.)
• Best Overall Body Make-Over (combination of procedures): Dr. Thomas Young, Young Medical Spa (Center Valley, Pa.)

After reviewing the winners of the individual awards categories, a judging panel comprised of Hollywood's top aesthetic practitioners and key members of the aesthetic media including Dr. Ava Shamban, Dr. Alexander Rivkin, Dr. Mark Berman, Dr. Will Kirby, Dr. Jason Diamond and Dr. David Matlock, selected Dr. Newen as the winner of Best Overall Patient Enhancement.
