Virtual school received rating of "exceeds expectations" on Wisconsin school report card; considered 4-star school

APPLETON, Wis., March 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wisconsin Connections Academy (WCA), the state's first full-time, tuition-free virtual public charter school for all Wisconsin K-12 students, has received an "exceeds expectations" rating from the Department of Public Instruction for the 2015-16 school year. The school was also recognized with the highest school student achievement score of all virtual schools in the state. Much of the school's success is due to the overwhelming parent satisfaction and graduation success it achieved in recent years.

The school met or exceeded state performance expectations in English language arts, math, science and social studies averaged across all grades tested on the Wisconsin Forward exam. Additionally, the school's college acceptances include several state and private colleges across Wisconsin. According to the school's annual parent satisfaction survey, 97 percent of parents agree the curriculum is high quality, and overwhelmingly parents say they would recommend the school to other families.
