LONG ISLAND, N.Y., Jan. 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wisselman, Harounian & Associates, P.C., a divorce and family law firm on Long Island, will be exhibiting at the IBO (Interchange Business Organization) Special Ops Interactive Special Needs Resource Fair on February 1st.
During the event, members of the firm's legal team will speak on topics related to family law and families with special needs children. Attorneys Randal Malone, Esq., Lauren Chartan, and Lloyd C. Rosen will discuss "Divorcing Parents of Special Needs Children," "Bullying Prevention from a Legal Perspective," and "How to have a SMART Divorce."
The fair is a free, family event that will provide educational resources and actual services for special needs children and their families. Music therapy, cognitive enhancement, CSE Prep, massage therapy, and behavioral counseling will be provided, along with informational seminars.
According to IBO Special Ops, the fair will help children of all ages prepare for real-life adjustments and change, such as school or divorce. Activities for kids will include arts, crafts, yoga, Zumba, magic shows, games, and prizes. The exhibit hall will feature booths with parent resources, including speech and language therapists, financial counseling, occupational therapy, art therapy, non-profits, and helpful publications.
