INTENTIONS' debut line of basics and bed-top linens, manufactured and distributed by Peacock Alley, feature relaxation-inducing words – such as breathe, sleep, relax – beautifully jacquard-woven into 300-thread-count, Egyptian-cotton. Stepan's concept emerged while recovering from a surgical accident that almost took her life. Memories of her unwelcoming hospital environment, including the rough sheets on her bed, were a constant reminder of the pain she endured. Through focus, visualization and breathwork, Stepan was able to work through the PTSD and insomnia that were a result of her traumatic experience. 

The Mayo Clinic's Guide to Alternative Medicine reports that controlled breathing and visualization –two practices that Stepan cites as critical to her recovery – are viable ways to reduce stress.
