With Less than One Day Left in the Campaign, SLAB Seeks Final Kickstarter Support
Magic RFID travel wallet offers solution for frequent travelers, minimalists
MONTREAL, Calif., March 4, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- With less than 24 hours left in the campaign, SLAB Magic Travel Wallet creator Vladimir Pashkov is hoping for a lucrative end to his Kickstarter project. SLAB, a three-plate metal wallet that allows users to store cash and cards in multiple openings, has accumulated $8,552 in support thus far. Those interested in backing SLAB have until 8:31 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1 to back the campaign.

"The campaign is wrapping up," said Pashkov. "I know SLAB will be a great wallet for anyone who travels or loves great design. I've spent much of my life traveling and living abroad. SLAB is inspired from my direct experiences and from my passion for beautiful design."
SLAB is just 11 millimeters thick, offering an alternative to conventional wallets that tend to be thick and bulky. With precisely carved slots for two credit cards, two SIM cards, and two MicroSD cards, the SLAB design provides ample room for bills and essentials. Its minimalistic design helps guard frequent travelers from theft for two main reasons, first because it isn't easily noticed when worn under clothing, and second because it allows users to compartmentalize bills.
After a number of experiences abroad in which he was unfairly charged or targeted for theft, Pashkov decided there should be a better solution to help conceal cash. SLAB allows users to place large bills in two separate openings. The intent is to open the compartment for small bills in public places to buy items such as water or gum, without the risk of flashing larger bills in the process. The compartment for large bills should only be opened in more private areas, such as when paying for nice dinners.
When crafting the wallet, Pashkov was also concerned with longevity. Twelve rare earth magnets and carefully attached pieces of elastic allow the wallet to function. Backers are guaranteed lifetime elastic replacement to combat the threat of wear and tear over the years.
Early bird specials are still available to those interested in becoming SLAB owners. The three-plate wallet pricing starts at just $75 for the early bird deal, but increases to $80 when early bird specials are gone. Pashkov also offers a single-plate SLAB mini starting at just $25 and a two-plate SLAB starting at $55.
