With 'Staying In' the new 'Going Out', Brits Need More Space to Entertain at Home

With over half of British consumers saving money by entertaining at home instead of going out[1], some Brits are struggling to find enough recreation space in their homes. A recent survey conducted by self storage specialist Easistore, reveals that a quarter of Brits would appreciate more living room space for comfortable sofa seating. This is especially true of women, with a whopping 44% opting to use extra space for seating. In contrast, a quarter of men are most drawn to the idea of installing an entertainment or television system.
Scotland is the only region which places more importance on a dining area than sofa seating, with 21% prioritising this. With new builds in the UK up to eight square metres short of the recommended size[2], it's no wonder some of us can't find enough space for both dining and seating areas in our homes.
