Women Health Expert GC-Rise Presents at Biotech Showcase In San Francisco

BEIJING, Jan. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GC-Rise Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd, in which European healthcare venture capital firm INVENTAGES holds a majority stake, announced that the company has presented at the Biotech Showcase 2013 conference in San Francisco on January 8.

Beijing-headquartered GC-Rise, which focuses on women's health in China, aims to take the opportunity to showcase its growth stories and seek tie-ups with potential partners to help them tap China's growing healthcare market.

The biotech conference is held from January 7-9 in San Francisco, California. GC-Rise's chief financial officer Richard Zhang presented the company's growth roadmap and new initiatives for 2013 at the event on Tuesday.

"We are solidly positioned in five rapidly growing segments: anti-aging products, reproductive health products, tumor products, dermatological and beauty products, and mental health treatments. The market of these segments will see an average annual compound growth rate of 29 percent over 2011-2017 period," said Zhang.

GC-Rise, invited as one of the emerging fast-growth companies at the conference, will take new initiatives in the coming years to boost earnings thanks to the rapidly growing female health care market, which is expected to hit US$94 billion by 2017.

"To keep abreast of going deep, we are also on the track of going broad; medical devices and other diagnostics categories will be part of the future growth drivers on top of drugs," Zhang noted.

GC-Rise expects to see an annual compound growth rate of 40 percent in sales during the 2013-2017 period, driven by strong sales of current products as well as revenue streams contributed by new medicines and other diagnostic products.
