
Women In Sports And Events Announces Fall 2014 Launch Of Executive Leadership Institute At The Tuck School Of Business At Dartmouth
Customized Program is a First for Women in the Sports Industry

NEW YORK, April 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Women In Sports and Events (WISE), the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports, has announced the launch of an Executive Leadership Institute in partnership with Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth. The program was created specifically for the advancement and retention of female executives in the sports industry.
A first for the sports industry, the program will convene November 9-14, 2014, on the Tuck campus in Hanover, New Hampshire with 40 women selected for the inaugural class. The customized curriculum is targeted to high-performing women, at the vice president level or above, who aspire to senior-level positions, with the ultimate goal of establishing a deep bench of female leaders who are prepared to ascend to the C-suites. Led by a diverse Tuck faculty, the WISE Executive Leadership Institute addresses the critical business acumen and personal leadership skills needed by any successful executive, while also addressing specific challenges faced by women in the sports industry.

Women, from multiple disciplines, who are employed full-time in a line management or staff position in the sports industry or by a company that is engaged in the sports industry, (i.e., brands, agencies and/or media companies) are encouraged to apply for one of the 40 available slots in the inaugural 2014 class of the WISE Executive Leadership Institute. If not self-employed, they must be endorsed by their company's senior management for participation in the program.
