Womenetics Announces Call for Nominees For the 2013 POW! Awards
ATLANTA, Nov. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Womenetics today announced a call for nominations of female leaders of extraordinary purpose and impact in Atlanta and Chicago for the 2013 POW! Awards. The Awards recognize women who have not only attained a high level of transformative success in business or a non-profit, but are change agents, respected for significant contributions locally or globally.
POW! Awards are presented to super-achievers who leverage their positions of influence to forge new paths in business or bring a business approach to nonprofits. Womenetics is accepting nominations of women executives or female entrepreneurs who trigger positive change as they challenge the status quo, rally key stakeholders, and bring visionary ideas to business and society. They could be philanthropists who find creative solutions and challenge others to do the same. Nominees are women known for their abilities to lead and adapt; innovate and create; collaborate and advance, while inspiring and supporting other women.
"POW! Awards recipients are dynamos; they transform vision into action," said Elisabeth Marchant, president and CEO of Womenetics. "They surmount challenges, break down barriers, spark innovation and attain success, bringing the 'POW!' factor to everything they do."
Nominees will be evaluated for the following criteria:
- Business acumen;
- Demonstrated leadership ability;
- Documented impact in the workplace and/or community;
- Record of achievement that demonstrates intentionality and goal setting;
- Distinguishing personal qualities.
Womenetics will recognize 12 Chicago honorees on March 7 at the 2013 POW! Awards; and 12 Atlanta honorees on April 23, 2013.
Nomination forms are available at the Womenetics website, www.womenetics.com. The deadline for Chicago nominees is Jan. 7; and for Atlanta, Jan. 18, 2013.
