Wonder of Sound Proudly Presents Ryo Yanagitani's Alone With Chopin

SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Wonder of Sound is pleased to introduce Ryo Yanagitani, one of Canada's most promising young concert artists. Yanagitani's first release will delight you both intellectually and emotionally. His classical poise and balance display themselves in his ability to develop the color and textures of each of these selections. Recorded at the University Of The Incarnate Word, during a very hot three days in July, Ryo's performances are a triumphant tribute of the technical prowess of Chopin's compositions. Chopin's Ballades are considered by many to be some of the most technically challenging pieces in the standard piano repertoire.  "Alone With Chopin," will see its release with LiSem Enterprises in November 2011.

Ryo Yanagitani has distinguished himself as one of Canada's most promising young concert artists. His most recent success includes winning the gold medal at the 10th San Antonio International Piano Competition, where he was also given special recognition for a performance of the complete Chopin Ballades. Among other honors, he is also the grand-prize winner of the Hugo Kauder International Piano competition and a Laureate of the Minnesota International Piano-e-Competition, the Dr. Luis Sigall International Piano competition in Vina del Mar (Chile), and the Hilton Head Hotel.
