World International Brand Evaluation Index System Gives Chinese Manufacturers Tools, Knowledge to Develop Exceptional Brands

NEW YORK, Aug. 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Liu Yi, president of the World International Brand Development Committee, announces the official launch of WIBEIS — the World International Brand Evaluation Index System. WIBEIS emphasizes quality consumer products as part of helping Chinese companies earn leadership positions among global brands. In an interview with Maggie Zhao of "Wall Street Multimedia" at NASDAQ MarketSite, Yi discussed how his system will help Chinese manufacturers re-orient themselves in this dynamic and global economy by focusing on quality.

"China has proven to be a reliable maker of goods," says Yi, "but is not yet on par with other developed nations in terms of establishing valuable branding. Therefore, the goal of WIBEIS is to help Chinese companies become recognized brands and earn their place on exchanges like NASDAQ."

The World International Brand Development Committee (WIBDC) met recently in New York for its first Top 500 Global Brands Evaluation event. Experts from the U.S., China, Germany, the U.K. and other nations joined Yi to apply WIBEIS to the world's elite organizations. The committee deliberated at length over the importance of branding in the modern economy, and how to execute an effective branding program.

The Top 10 list of leading companies evaluated by the WIBDC is a "who's who" of industry titans: Amazon, Facebook, Apple, Google, Samsung, IBM, GE, Toyota and Mercedes-Benz, to name a few. These and other high-caliber brands have one thing in common, according to Yi, that has enabled them to become the powerhouses they are today — namely, an unflagging emphasis on quality and reputation.

Yi contends the popularity of private labeling is a phenomenon that has put Chinese brands behind the curve. Private labels goods are not necessarily poor quality, but without branding, their manufacturers are missing out on countless opportunities. The WIBDC's vision is to help China become a fertile ground for real brands that prioritize quality over sheer numbers. The committee will then share its lessons and insights as part of giving all Chinese manufacturers a roadmap for achieving superior global status.

The evaluation system developed by Yi consists of 9 dimensions, 300-plus elements, 2,000-plus international standards, and tens of 1,000s of industry standards. "WIBEIS discourages mere imitation," adds Yi, "and rewards brands that put their customer first."

Next on the agenda for the WIBDC is the World Conference on International Brands in November 2017, where the committee will announce awards for the world's best brands. These awards include one Excellence Brand, 10 Gold Brands, 30 Silver Brands and 50 Bronze Brands. The committee will also reveal the Top 100 and Top 500 Most Valuable Brands. The United Nations is collaborating to host the upcoming conference, as the encouragement of strong global brands is integral to world economic health.
