World Sports Alliance Intergovernmental Organization (WSA): Fast-track development of the Implementation Plan for the WSA-NRM-GOLD-PPP in CAR
NEW YORK, June 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The World Sports Alliance Intergovernmental Organization (WSA) announces the fast-track development of the Implementation Plan for the gold portion of its Natural Resources Mining Public-Private Partnership Project in the Central African Republic (CAR).
On May 29 last, the World Sports Alliance Intergovernmental Organization (WSA) held a strategic meeting at the Organization's Presidential Suite in New York, City, pertaining to the implementation of the gold portion of its Natural Resources Mining Public-Private Partnership Project in the Central African Republic (CAR).
Senior executives of Ghana Gold Corporation, of WSA Global Pte. Ltd., the WSA Integrator, of the WSA International Business Consortium (WSAIBC) and of the WSA Commercial Capital Manager, Group Curtis Whitney Holdings, Inc. also attended the meeting, which was also joined by way of conference call by the President of the Central African Republic, H.E. Mr. Michel DJOTODIA.
The latter announced at the beginning that: "We must realize that CAR is now paying for the mistakes of the previous government, which had a patrimonial vision of power. Today, we wish to exercise our responsibility in the service of a national vision for Central Africa and a position of openness with the rest of the international community."
President Djotodia wished to congratulate, encourage and reassure all participants that WSA mobilized to launch this major mining development project, which will also ensure the deployment of the WSA Socio-Economic Initiative within CAR, a country severely tested since the end of 2012.
The President added: "My country cannot remain the poor cousin of the sub-region, it is intolerable and we will strive with energy and determination to rebuild the Central African Republic, with the support of all people of goodwill such as WSA and its partners, and I warned the Government of National Union which I have formed, that the task ahead of us would be difficult, but that the time has come for someone to take it on."
President Djotodia finished by stating: "Our plan is to organize the political, democratic and economic revival of the Central African Republic. For far too long the exercise of power was confiscated to serve the personal interests of a minority. It is now time that our resources be used and distributed to the service of the public interest; that is, in a few words, what we hope to accomplish in partnership with WSA."
At the end of the meeting, all participants, who have been convinced by the words and sincerity of President Djotodia, agreed to fast-track the development of an Implementation Plan in order to begin gold mining production in CAR in the coming months.
