This 12-year-old Kentucky bourbon, finished in Amontillado sherry casks, offers a rich and layered experience, opening with a medley of dried fruits, including apricots and golden raisins, and a hint of rum-soaked plum, all interwoven with the nutty aroma of toasted almonds and bold oak spice. On the palate, it's luxuriously smooth, with evolving notes of rum raisin bread, caramelized brown sugar, and a soft Amontillado sherry richness. A pronounced sweet nuttiness emerges mid-palate, evoking peanut brittle and a whisper of sherry cream. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sherry sweetness, gentle toasted nuts, and a final touch of spiced vanilla and tobacco.
