DETROIT, March 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- WorldLink Communications LLC (http://www.worldlinkcomm.com), a Michigan-based company, has received the Excellence in Electronic Communication and Excellence in Training Awards from the Association of Professional Communication Consultants (APCC). As the first organization in history to receive two selections in the same year, WorldLink was chosen from multiple nominees for the Electronic Communications Award for development of social media strategies and management for multiple clients and internal processes. For contributions towards communications training, WorldLink received the Training Award, based on work with Our Youth Lifeline, a Detroit non-profit organization, teaching leadership and public speaking skills to at-risk children in the City.
WorldLink Communications is in the third year of providing education and training programs to students and business professionals, including social media marketing, career development, presentation skills, and ethnic integration strategies. Jerry Lehman, a Director of the Genesee County United Way, wrote as part of the nomination process, "WorldLink has been essential in helping our organization come up to speed on the advances in social media…we appreciate their dedication and rely on WorldLink to help us continue to improve technically as an organization."
Tamara Maxwell, president of Our Youth Lifeline, stressed the community service goals of the agency and the results achieved by the WorldLink team. "We could not be happier with (the WorldLink team's) result to-date. Their work has helped our students understand and demonstrate strong leadership skills in their individual schools, communicate with peers and adults in more positive ways, and become more successful as they search for employment in an extremely tough market…since hiring them to support our training, OYL is making a difference in the community, not only for now, but for the future. WorldLink is a big part of our mission and success."
Currently, WorldLink continues to expand their services to incorporate the growing role of social media in business, healthcare, and ethnic communication practices.
WorldLink Communications LLC was created in 2007 to meet the growing need for effective communication practices across industry. The organization has expanded to serve national and international clientele in health care, professional athletics, small and large business, political, non-profit, and entrepreneurial professions.
