HONG KONG, March 13, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- A new technology that could kickstart a global and borderless data economy is revealed at the Token2049 conference today. Ocean Protocol, the blockchain-enabled data sharing substrate that connects industries, startups, governments, and data & AI experts is ready to launch its phase one network end of this month.

In 2016 alone, only an estimated one percent of the 16 ZB^[1] of data generated worldwide was analysed.^[2],[3] By 2020, 1.7MB of data will be created every second for every person on earth.^[4] So, there is no shortage of data, the ability to access and use that data however is fraught with challenges.
