LONDON, April 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
April 2013 saw iThinkMedia manage a third consecutive WWE® WrestleMania campaign, reaching a worldwide audience of over 750 million through digital marketing channels including Facebook, Google, YouTube and numerous mobile networks across five countries.
On Sunday 7th April 2013, the WrestleMania 29 pay-per-view event was broadcasted live on Sky Sports Box Office from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. On this stage and in front of the second largest crowd in WWE history, WWE® fans witnessed John Cena finally defeat Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to win the WWE® Championship Title. Also on the night, The Undertaker increased his phenomenal undefeated WrestleMania record to 21-0 by pinning CM Punk in what is reported to be one of the best matches ever!
iThinkMedia's objective was to raise awareness of this huge event in countries including the UK, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Australia.
This was achieved using channels that included Google's Search & Display Networks, Facebook market place and page post promotion, various Mobile Display Networks, YouTube Advertising and five highly successful YouTube Mobile 24hr Takeovers in the UK, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Australia.
Dominic Corr from iThinkMedia said… "Wrestlemania is always an event to put in the Pay Per View Diary so to be able to work alongside the WWE to promote their event is great, especially as we are able to witness first hand the sheer scale and reach that an event of this size can bring!"
Plans are now being put in place for WWE's next big calendar event - Summer Slam 2013 live from Los Angeles in August.
